On what felt like the first truly sunny day of the year, Esher Rugby Club welcomed an incredible 1,475 young players, along with their families and supporters, to our highly anticipated Spring Minis Festival. Traveling from as far as Jersey by planes, trains, and automobiles, teams gathered for a day of fantastic rugby and community spirit.

The Under-7s and Under-8s showcased their impressive passing, running, and tagging skills, while the older age groups took things up a notch with tackling, rucking, and mauling. The atmosphere was electric, with music playing, food stalls serving up hot dogs and pancakes, and enthusiastic spectators cheering on the endless tries being scored.

Now recognised as one of the standout mini rugby festivals in the region, the event was a true celebration of the sport. More than anything, the day was filled with energy, excitement, and, most importantly, fun—something clearly captured in the event video.

We look forward to making next year’s festival even bigger and better!
