Rugby is a widely played physical sport, enjoyed by many children and young people across the UK. The benefits of being part of a team, with community spirt and a high level of focus for this contact sport, enhances mental health, wellbeing and improves physical activity for boys and girls.
Securus is therefore delighted to sponsor Esher Rugby Club’s Under 16 squad made up of 40 players who are split into “A” and “B” teams.
The “A” squad were in the playoff final of the Elite Division Surrey Quins Cup, held at ERFC. They won 26-19 beating Dorking who have been unbeaten all season.
The “B” squad were in their playoff final for the Surrey Hampstead Cup and won an exciting try filled game 38-32. Great work by both teams!
Securus’ sponsorship includes supplying the kit of shirts, shorts and socks for every member of the squad, who train on Tuesdays and Sundays at the club based in Hersham, Surrey and which is close to the Securus offices in Leatherhead.
Derek Allen, Securus Co-founder and Chairman is a long-standing member of Esher RFC and an avid Rugby supporter through his life, including being privileged to have witnessed the England World Cup win in 2003 in Australia!
