Last Sunday (13th October) Esher minis held the second iteration of our all girls training sessions. Having run a session last season with Reeds and Vandals, we were once again joined by local friends and approaching 25 young girls joined in fun, games and some seriously good rugby, before sitting down for a post training pasta Bolognese in the club.

This was particularly well timed as not only did it run on the day England's Roses retained their global WXV title, but also this week Esher committed to shift its focus for girls rugby to look at building it's minis girls contingent and this will be one of several initiatives this season and beyond. And who knows one (or more) of these incredible young women might go on to be a Red Rose too.

Special thanks to the inspirational Stephen Tanghe for making this happen!
